Community chat
Chat is a shared space for brief, real-time conversation among members. It can be useful for reacting to a match, discussing a developing story, asking a quick question or directing people to a longer thread. Because messages move quickly, chat is best for immediate exchanges. Detailed explanations and discussions that need to remain easy to find are usually better suited to a board thread.
Keep messages readable and respectful. Do not flood the room, threaten people, share private information or use chat to promote scams, unlawful activity or unwanted solicitations. Never post a password, bank login, card number, CVV, PIN or one-time code. Chat messages may be subject to moderation under the same community standards as posts and replies. Use the report controls if a message makes you feel unsafe or appears to break the rules.
Every chat message, post, comment, upload and other member action is exclusively that user's own legal act and opinion, not the opinion or statement of 9jatalk, 9jaforum, their owners or staff. A message appearing in the room does not mean the platform agrees with, verifies or endorses it. Users are responsible for their own words and conduct. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the platform and its owners and staff disclaim liability for user content and actions. Nothing here prevents a claim from being filed or removes rights and duties that applicable law makes non-waivable.
For private one-to-one exchanges, use direct messaging only where enabled and respect the other member's boundaries. Report harmful content rather than escalating it. Chat is most valuable when members share useful context, disagree without personal attacks and help keep the room welcoming.
